Launch of DRISHTI: A Landmark India-Israel Tech Collaboration

Hyderabad, India – December 9, 2024: In a significant milestone for India-Israel technological collaboration, T-Hub, India’s leading startup incubator, in partnership with the Directorate of Defence Research & Development (DDR&D), Israel Ministry of Defence, and enabled by Motwani Jadeja Foundation (MJF), has launched the DRISHTI (Dual-use Robust India-Israel High-Tech Innovation) program. This transformative initiative aims to strengthen ties between India and Israel, driving innovation, strategic partnerships, and cutting-edge technological advancements across critical sectors such as defense, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), robotics, drones, and more.

The name DRISHTI, derived from the Sanskrit word for “vision” or “insight,” reflects the center’s mission to provide a forward-looking platform for innovation and strategic partnerships between India and Israel. Through the establishment of a Centre of Excellence (CoE) at T-Hub in Hyderabad, Israeli innovators will gain unparalleled access to India’s rapidly growing defense and high-tech sectors, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with Indian defense public sector undertakings (PSUs), corporates, and investors ensuring long-term innovation and market expansion

The 6–12-month acceleration program will offer Israeli startups tailored mentorship, strategic market entry support, and opportunities for soft launches in India. Additionally, participants will have access to invaluable resources for collaboration with Indian defense PSUs, corporates, and investors, helping them establish a foothold in the Indian market and drive impactful solutions. The program will also include hackathons, ideathons, and workshops, creating avenues for innovation exchanges and addressing industry challenges.

A Vision for India-Israel Innovation

The DRISHTI program is a key initiative within the Motwani Jadeja Foundation’s India-Israel Innovation Corridor Project, designed to bridge the technological ecosystems of both nations. Asha Jadeja, Founder of MJF, shared, “DRISHTI is the realization of a long-standing vision to create meaningful connections between India and Israel. By combining Israel’s technological expertise with India’s market potential, we are paving the way for breakthroughs in defense, AI, and dual-use technologies that will have a global impact”. The program reflects MJF’s mission to empower changemakers, foster peace, and create platforms for prosperity and mutual understanding. “It’s not just a program,” Asha added, “but a vision for transformative growth that will drive impactful solutions worldwide.”

The launch of the DRISHTI program signals the start of a promising partnership between India and Israel, one that will redefine technological innovation in defense and beyond.
