At Davos Brainstorm 2024, Rahul Kanwal, Executive Director of Business Today, had an exclusive conversation with Asha Jadeja Motwani, Investor, Philanthropist, and Founder of the Motwani Jadeja Foundation at Davos 2024. They discussed India’s growth story and the role of India’s Diaspora in it.

Asha Jadeja emphasized that there is no stopping India’s growth story. However, she noted that India is being slow in its policy deals, citing examples from the United States of America on how it is impatient to close deals with Indian companies and implement certain policies. She also expressed her views on how a Free Trade Agreement with India would benefit everyone, considering the growing and positive outlook on India. Asha further discussed how the Indian Diaspora influences various sectors, such as technology and now even in political spheres.

At the Davos Brainstorm 2024, Business Today’s Executive Director, Rahul Kanwal, also had an exclusive conversation with Fred Kempe, President & CEO of the Atlantic Council at Davos 2024. They discussed India’s growth story and the Atlantic Council’s views on it. Fred believes that India’s presence is felt everywhere and predicts that India will top the list of countries shaping the future of the world. The discussion with veteran arts and cultural expert Skinder Hundal, Director of Arts at the British Council and Chair of the Cultural Leadership Board in West Midlands, at the launch of the Motwani Jadeja Foundation (MJF) Global India Dialogues at the World Economic Forum in Davos, highlighted how Indian art had not found due recognition globally and what could be done to propagate the varied art-forms from around the country on a global canvas.

The conversation explored strategies to enable Indian artists on the global platform, including auctions and museums, aimed at enhancing the visibility and value of Indian contemporary art globally.

In an interaction with Asha Motwani Jadeja, Edith Nordmann, Chairman at The Netherlands India Chamber of Commerce & Trade, said that India is sending the message of inclusiveness, unlike other nations, which gives it an edge over others. Nordmann, who was in Delhi for the recent G20 summit held in September 2023, hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, India’s push for ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’.
