Sacha is a public health practitioner, and co-founder of Rah-e-maa, a company that designs ICT services to improve maternal and child health in Pakistan. Rah-e-maa received a $100,000 investment from the UNICEF Innovation Fund last year to bring its first product, Super Abbu, to market. Super Abbu is a free hotline targeted at low-income and low-literate expectant fathers. The service connects them to each other and to doctors over a phone call, allowing them to record questions that get answered by a doctor within 48 hours. Super Abbu has so far acquired 21,500 users since its launch on 31st December 2017.
Rah-e-maa (the path of the mother) develops technology-based solutions to improve maternal and infant mortality in Pakistan. We aim to bridge that information gap between fathers and doctors, and enable fathers to become informed decision makers and partners in getting their wives and unborn children the maternal health care they need.
