Dr Shashvat Desai is a physician-scientist specializing in vascular neurology and endovascular neurosurgery. After completing his medical education at Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital in Mumbai, Dr Desai moved to the United States for advanced training at the University of Pittsburgh and Barrow Neurological Institute. As a fellow of the National Institute of Health, he has authored more than 70 peer-reviewed scientific papers and his work has been widely acknowledged by the global neurology community. His research interests include developing novel devices for stroke treatment. He has co-founded Gravity Medical Technology and serves as its chief technology officer.
