Deepak Ravindran is an under 30 Indian entrepreneurs who founded three mobile messaging companies in a decade. Innoz, the world’s largest SMS based search engine which he ran for several years before open sourcing it in 2013; Quest, a mobile knowledge messaging platform backed by 500 Startups; and most recently Lookup, a hyper-local messaging platform in India. In 2008, Deepak dropped out of engineering college to start Innoz and has been recognized as one of the outstanding innovators under 35 by the MIT Technology Review, one of Asia’s 21 emerging leaders under 40 according to Asia Society and most recently quoted as the Mark Zuckerberg of India by Business Insider. He lives in San Francisco and currently runs Pirate Fund – a startup incubator backing founders first.
