Abhijit is the founder & CEO of Project DEFY (.org). He developed the concept of Nooks to challenge the status quo of mainstream education that most are condemned to, to show that learning and learning spaces can be reimagined completely, with a little bit of courage. He designed and created Nooks as an experiment to enable communities to start controlling their own education, by creating their own learning journeys and designing their own lives. Nooks are physical self-learning spaces created in marginalized communities, equipped with laptops, internet, tools and materials and a whole lot of junk.
