Asha India Fellowships

“Expanding the Circle of Hope”

Inspired by the life and ideals of Rajeev Motwani and Asha Jadeja, the Asha India Fellowships programme is a new, outcome-linked incentive initiative to encourage high-quality, reliably researched, and well-crafted India-positive narratives in a variety of fields across the humanities and social studies.

For too long has India been misrepresented, its history and culture distorted, and its present portraying in doom and gloom terms. Our motto is “Write India Right.”

The objective is to restore the dignity of an ancient civilisation, which is also a contemporary and progressing nation.

When many such truths about India are told, they will inspire prosperity partnerships across the country and wherever an Indian diaspora is willing to invest in the homeland.

Each fellowship will be tailor-made to suit the incumbent’s requirements. But, generally speaking, Fellows may be given a signing amount when their proposal is accepted. Thereupon, according to a time-frame that is mutually agreed, Fellows will receive their second tranche of funding on submission of the proposed work. On evaluation, an additional completion grant or publication component may be disbursed.

Send a two-age proposal, with a brief CV, in confidence to: ashafellowship@gmail.com

Proposals are invited throughout the year.

Published work will prominently acknowledge the Asha India Fellowship.
