$10,000 MJ Prize for ChatGPT
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently proclaimed that “India’s techade is here!” During his Independence Day address in August 2022, Modi was highlighting how rapid technological advancements in sectors such as 5G, chip production and optical fiber networks have all shown impressive results in education, healthcare. Producing changes in India’s arguably greatest asset — it’s people. He Stressed how India’s digital transformation is vital for the development of the country, and promised that “We are bringing a revolution through Digital India to the grassroots level.” Those of you who follow Asha Jadeja on Social Media, know that she is really excited by the game changing opportunities of Quantum Computing. Many of the policy makers and business leaders she meets tout quantum computing being at the center of India’s digital strategy.
A recent NASSCOM-Avasant study revealed that India is planning to develop a quantum computer with a capacity of 50 qubits by 2026. This is in addition to the development of smaller-scale devices, such as quantum simulators and sensors that are expected to take place much sooner.
It seems that in the last few months, the whole world is talking about Open AI’s ChatGPT, a human-like AI chatbot that has been taking social media by storm. ChatGPT is based on artificial intelligence and can answer questions, talk in natural language, and much, much more. We are still at the early stages of this new frontier in search and Asha is excited to see how this rapidly evolving space develops in the coming months.
