Ali is a designer and educator specialising in industrial and interaction design. Asa design consultant, he has worked on branding, illustration, user experience andindustrial design projects with clients like Dolby Labs, Grid Impact, Coke USA, WorkingClass Studio, and Innovations for Poverty Alleviation Lab (IPAL). He has also beenteaching at design and engineering schools since 2015, while being deeply involved inPakistan’s burgeoning maker scene, as the program manager of Makeistan, Pakistan’sfirst academic makerspace.

Makeistan is a project of Information Technology University (ITU), located on the university’s campus inside Arfa Software Technology Park. We are a community of makers with a shared passion for innovation through collaborative, hands-on learning. As part of the global makers movement, we provide aspiring creators from all walks of life and levels of experience a platform to come together to build their dream projects.
