Hina Tariq is the Founder of Herstellar – a maker community to encourage innovators to solve real-life problems. She is an Electrical Engineer from Information Technology University (ITU) Punjab. Currently, she is working with CMACED Department at Superior University as a Manager Outreach and International Linkages. Her role implies focusing on building potential connections with International Entrepreneurial ecosystem and organizations. She has worked as a Community and Social Media Manager at the Social Innovation Lab. She co-founded DIY Geeks in 2014 and worked as Chief Operating Officer. Her startup went on to raise a sum of $200,000 from Asha Jadeja Motwani, an active angel investor from Silicon Valley. She is an alumnus of Plan9, PlanX, Amal Academy and WIN (Women Innovation Network). In 2017, she was invited for the prestigious Rajeev Circle Fellowship, a three-week immersion program in Silicon Valley where she attended TiECon, Open SV, MakerFaire, and met numerous US-based companies to exchange ideas and knowledge. Moreover, she is associated with the Motwani Jadeja Family Foundation as a regional coordinator to empower women maker community.

Our aim is to introduce the maker’s culture to the women in Pakistan and reduce the gender gap at our Makerspaces. We are empowering women by educating them through technology. We are promoting maker culture and bringing maker movement in Pakistan.
